You know what they say… If a shiny guitar looks too soviet, it’s probably some tribute guitar ! Meet the Ural V8…

According to its maker, the inspiration for the guitar design was Nigel Tufnel’s “Mr. Horsepower” guitar. You know, the famous yellow body red flamed axe with chrome exhaust pipes and dial gauge.

It is a combination of a Soviet Solo II guitar and features from the Mr. Horsepower guitar. It features eight blade style single-coil pickups with individual on/off switches and volume controls. In addition, it has two larger knobs for master tone controls for each bank of switches.

The V8 Ural guitar’s design is intentionally complicated and confusing but still easy to use… even for Nigel Tufnel.
