Popular wisdom has it that life is unfair. It is particularly true for guitarists.
On one hand, you have those who have dedicated years to mastering the most spectacular techniques and intricate solos, pouring their heart and soul into their shredding craft. Yet, despite their impressive skills and dedication, they struggle to find an audience.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, you have those who play three chords and sing “baby, baby, baby” on repeat. Yet they are wildly popular and successful especially among the ladies. It’s enough to make a guitar virtuoso want to throw their axe out the window in frustration.
But alas, such is the fickle nature of life and the music industry. At least guitarists can take solace in the fact that they have each other to commiserate with over a few cold ones at the local bar. The same can not be said for bass players, right ?
Thank god I’m a terrible guitar player, ha ha.
You can’t be as terrible as I am 🙂
Don’t make me link to my band.
